Highlights of the Week

Hey it’s time for another update! This was a big week for the Stitch Studio team… we got our iron rings! This is a Canadian tradition started by Rudyard Kipling almost a century ago that serves as a reminder of the ethical responsibilities associated with being an engineer. As a result, most of the team’s efforts were spent elsewhere this week, namely the festivities surrounding the iron ring ceremony. However, we did meet up with Professor Kennings and demoed our progress so far. Also, Yaning picked up the custom PCB, and I reprioritized the tasks on our Asana board.

What’s Next?

Here’s what we plan to do this week:

  • Populate and test the custom PCB
  • Start designing the embroidery hoop mount
  • Set software limits that reflect hardware limitations
  • Implement calibration procedure

Stay tuned for our next weekly post, and follow us on Twitter for the latest updates!
